Reed Cundiff is the general manager of Microsoft’s customer and market research team. He is responsible for ensuring that Microsoft’s most critical business decisions are based on deep customer and market understanding, drawing from data sources ranging from survey data to social media and telemetry. Reed’s group consults with internal stakeholders on corporate initiatives and business issues across Microsoft, including marketing, business planning and engineering.
Reed joined Microsoft in January 2005 as director of research incubation and frameworks. He has been leading the customer and market research team for the past nine years.
Reed previously held analyst, business development and consulting roles at Gartner, Compete and the Yankee Group. He holds a B.A. in pre-industrial European history from Wesleyan University.
