Alexander Wheatley is head of data and insights for The National Theatre in London.
The National Theatre’s mission is to make world class theatre that’s entertaining, challenging and inspiring – and to make it for everyone. It aims to reach the widest possible audience and to be as inclusive and diverse as possible with a broad range of productions that play in London, on tour across the globe and across a selection of digital platforms.
He is responsible for the National Theatre’s strategic use of data intelligence and insight to reach audiences and participants through live and digital activity.
Prior to this he was part of Kantar’s Global Leadership Team.
Having held a selection of roles across the insights industry and worked with an all-encompassing range of clients. He has built a career driving the leading edge of research and his work and teams have received multiple industry awards.
He is a representative for the European Society for Opinion and Market Research and plays an advisory role in many other industry organizations and bodies. He is a graduate of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method from the London School of Economics.
