Proof of COVID Vaccination or Negative Test Required to Attend

Safety, security and health are a priority at Quirk’s. For the 2022 Quirk’s Chicago Event, we will require all in-person attendees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test taken within 72 hours. This decision was made in order to comply with changing government regulations and venue requirements.

Chicago COVID-19 Updates

As of February 28:

  • Vaccination requirement has been lifted in dining, fitness, and event/entertainment venues – however, Quirk’s is still requiring proof of vaccination (or negative COVID-19 test)
  • Masks suggested, but not required indoors
  • Masks required on public transportation

What is Quirk’s doing to ensure a safe event?

Quirk’s is thrilled to offer another year of safe, in-person events once again. While COVID-19 is still present, we recognize that increased safety measures are necessary in order to ensure a safe and engaging event. Here are a few of the ways we are coordinating with the event venue and attendees to safely kick-off 2022 in-person events.

Checking In

Quirk’s is working to make the check-in process as safe as possible by:

  • Reducing person-to-person contact with touchless registration
  • Offering early check-in times
  • Requiring social distancing in line*
  • Placing direction markers*
  • Providing masks*

During the Event

We understand the importance of constantly managing social distancing and cleaning, and we will stay on top of this during the event in the following ways:

  • Sanitizing surfaces before event
  • Employing disinfection team to clean high-touch surfaces during event
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be provided in various locations throughout the venue for easy access
  • Prevent overcrowding by regulating capacity using digital, real-time monitoring of audience
  • Ensuring session rooms do not exceed safe capacity
  • Enabling touchless contact exchange and exhibitor interaction with Klik smart badges
  • Employing food and beverage staff trained in COVID-19 prevention measures*

The Big Picture

Ultimately, there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 with any public gathering. While Quirk’s and the event venue are taking your safety and that of our staff very seriously by employing new COVID-19 safety protocols, best practices and sanitation initiatives, we cannot guarantee that these measures will completely protect you from contracting COVID-19. The best way to have a safe event is for everyone to be diligent about their own personal safety both inside the event and in the city at large.
