Today’s consumer simply wants to know that the people producing their food are doing what’s right. That’s our sole mission at CFI – to build trust and confidence in today’s food system. Founded in 2007, CFI is a not-for-profit organization that is leading the public discussion in fostering trust and facilitating dialog with stakeholders across the food chain to bridge the gap with consumers.

In four distinct ways, CFI provides those in the food system with the skills and messages needed to effectively communicate with their most important audiences on issues that matter.

  1. We develop models that fundamentally define and communicate trust.
  2. We research and develop messages that build trust.
  3. We train messengers to deliver industry-specific values-based messages to key influencers.
  4. We are a food system leader in developing programs that build consumer trust.

CFI does not lobby or advocate on behalf of individual food companies or brands.
