Julio is managing director for the Americas at Zappi, ensuring clients benefit from having real-time insights from customers to inform their decision-making process even at boardroom-level. Prior to joining Zappi in 2016, Julio led insights for North America at AIG Consumer Insurance and operated as part of a leadership team that developed and established the CI function globally. Earlier in his career, he was a vice president with Ipsos, where he worked at for over 10 years and developed expertise across qualitative and quantitative methodologies on a global level. Julio’s career in market research started in the early ‘00s in his native Colombia but he describes himself as a market research lifer, being deeply involved in the industry before it started paying the bills. Driven by a passion for people and an undying compulsion to understand them, he is also equipped with a degree in psychology.
