Corrie has been with the Scripps National Spelling Bee for 12 years but she was first stung by the Bee as a speller at the national finals at age 11. She currently leads a team of employees and contributors to create a content package used to run spelling programs in more than 26,000 schools, program materials for regional spelling bees across the country and a communications strategy to bring all levels of the Bee into public awareness; and to execute and administer the annual national finals in the Washington, D.C., area.
